Welcome to Rooted — This is Your Space, Curlfriends!
YOU made it. You have officially started your journey to become Rooted.
I am so glad you are here. Not just inside the course — but here, in this space. Because Rooted was never meant to be something you go through alone. It was built for a community of women who are done following everyone else’s hair and ready to finally start listening to their own.
This blog post is your home base. Since each episode page doesn’t have its own comment section, I wanted to create one central place where we can all land together — to share, to ask, to celebrate, and to connect. This is that place.
You are not just someone that sign up for my course. You are a Curlfriend in my community.
What this space is for…
Share your wash day wins — big and small. Every step forward counts.
Ask questions about any episode, any step, or anything that came up on your wash day.
Share your before and after as you build and refine your routine.
Talk through what your hair is telling you — this is a safe space to figure it out together.
Connect with other Curlfriends who are on this same journey and get it in a way not everyone in your life does.
I will be checking in here regularly — reading your comments, answering questions, and celebrating alongside you. Your journey inside Rooted matters to me beyond the course itself. I mean that.
Introductions
Drop a comment below and tell us: How long have you been natural? What brought you to Rooted? And what’s the one thing you’re most hoping to walk away with after going through the course?
A reminder of the three principles
1 — Check in before you reach for anything
Touch your hair. Feel your scalp. Ask what it needs today — not what a tutorial says, not what someone else uses.
2 — Every product has a job to do
If you can’t say what a product is doing for your hair right now — it doesn’t belong in your routine.
3 — We are not following anyone else’s hair
Her routine is not your routine. Rooted teaches you to trust your own hair’s guidance — always.
Carry these with you into every wash day. They are the foundation of everything inside this course — and the foundation of the relationship you are about to build with your hair.
This is so much more than a wash day course. It is self-love. It is self-acceptance. It is healing and tuning in — to yourself, to your hair, to what it’s telling you it needs. Natural hair has a way of teaching you things about yourself if you are willing to listen. I hope Rooted gives you the space to start that conversation.
Thank you for trusting me with your journey. That is not something I take for granted.
Now go check in with your hair, it’s been waiting for this!
With so much love and gratitude —
